Very nice Culinary Delights

The food at Chumbe Island was nothing short of really good. We enjoyed three beautiful meals a day, crafted with fresh and healthy ingredients that were simply delicious. The highlight was the candlelit dinners right by the ocean, which added a magical touch to our dining experience. It was, without a doubt, the best food we had during our time in Zanzibar!

Charming Eco-Bungalows

Our eco-bungalow was a true gem, located just steps from the beach. It was spacious, exceptionally clean, and uniquely designed to maintain a natural flow of air. I loved the open layout, which helped us cool off naturally. Lovely Snorkeling Experience

We had the chance to partake in daily snorkeling excursions that were absolutely nice! The marine life was vibrant, and we spotted everything from colorful fish to majestic turtles. The highlight for me was the night snorkeling; watching the ocean creatures come to life after sunset was an enthralling experience that I will never forget.

Unique Eco-Friendly Facilities

I was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable the bathroom facilities were! Although the composting toilets took some adjustment, it was refreshing to see such thoughtful, eco-friendly options in place. Our stay on Chumbe Island was unforgettable, with beautiful surroundings and amazing wildlife that made us feel at home during our three-night stay. The eco-bungalows blended perfectly with the forest, but the amenities were basic and might not suit everyone's preferences. We loved the incredible food and various activities, but it wasn't ideal for those expecting luxury and comfort. Definitely worth the effort to support the conservation efforts.

While the location is exceptionally unique, it's a shame to see some coral damage, which slightly detracted from the experience.
