Reviews and Ratings
Our stay on Chumbe Island was unforgettable, with beautiful surroundings and amazing wildlife that made us feel at home during our three-night stay. The eco-bungalows blended perfectly with the forest, but the amenities were basic and might not suit everyone's preferences. We loved the incredible food and various activities, but it wasn't ideal for those expecting luxury and comfort. Definitely worth the effort to support the conservation efforts.
Chumbe Island is a true gem for nature lovers, offering stunning ecosystems, beautiful bungalows, and excellent snorkeling opportunities. The eco-bungalows are spacious and super clean, providing a fantastic base for exploring the island. The dining experience was great overall, particularly the grilled seafood, but there were a few average meals. While the location is exceptionally unique, it’s a shame to see some coral damage, which slightly detracted from the experience.
My stay at this eco-lodge was absolutely magical! The snorkeling experience was unparalleled, and the staff made us feel so welcomed. However, the value for money is a consideration given the price. The hidden beach was a standout, but it's not ideal if you're looking for bustling activities.
Staying on Chumbe Island was an unforgettable experience; the natural beauty was breathtaking, and the unique ecosystem made it feel like a true escape. The eco bungalows offered a special ambience, although the dining options were somewhat average. A night walk to see the coconut crabs was a highlight, adding a magical touch to the stay. It's a bit pricier than other options, but the value is evident when considering the conservation efforts and stunning surroundings.
My stay at Chumbe Island was truly unforgettable. It's a serene and special place that feels like an escape into nature while still offering a range of fun activities. The snorkeling was spectacular, and the staff's dedication to preserving this paradise is commendable. However, the bungalows are unique with composting toilets, which might not suit everyone.
